About me
Dolly Dunklin Marting grew up in Texarkana, Texas. Upon
graduating from Texas High School, she attended Southern Methodist University
and has spent most of her adult life in Dallas. She is the consummate volunteer
having chaired balls and boards for the Dallas Symphony, the Dallas Arboretum
and the Dallas Opera. She has worked closely with The Dallas Morning News in
producing and publishing The Rotogravure, a 20-page supplement section whose
proceeds benefited the Dallas Opera. Her combined projects have netted in excess
of $1 million for the Dallas Arts Community.
Dolly's son and his family live in Dallas, and her daughter and son-in-law live in New York City. Three grandsons and a granddaughter complete her family. With the support of her husband, Neil, Dolly has dedicated herself to speaking on behalf of retarded children, and she has a lot to say. As her story unfolds, you will learn and you will laugh as she shares a fresh approach to dealing with adversity. Audiences of all ages and interests have enthusiastically received her. As Dolly says, "What
you cannot change, rearrange."
